Caversham Wildlife Park (by Denise and Christine)

Our trip to Caversham Wildlife Park was so fun! We saw many marsupials like kangaroos, wombats, koalas and possums. We also fed the kangaroos and got to stroke their fur. The fur felt very soft. There was a knagaroo with a joey in its pouch.

At the Koalas' enclosure, we also touched the koalas. We found that a koala was NOT a bear. A female koala has a pouch, so a koala is a marsupial. It only eats the leaves of a eucalyptus plant. Koalas are actually active but in order to save energy, they sleep for 20 hours a day.

We took some pictures with a wombat and it was sleeping too! However, it work up after some time. We could not carry it as it was very heavy. Some of us got to touch a possum's tail. We took pictures of some birds and owls. We saw emus and heard the howlings made by dingos and red foxes. We enjoyed ourselves very much! We hope we can go there again.
