Campfire (By Mrs Chan)

On the final night, Mr David started a campfire for our students and we all gathered around the campfire. It was a chilly evening so the warmth from the fire was so inviting. As we gazed at the stars and held out our hands towards the warmth, we also reflected on the valuable things we have learnt over the five days in Perth.

Many students expressed that they learnt to work better with their peers and persevere despite tiredness. Many hands went up when asked if they felt more appreciative of their parents. We (the teachers) affirmed all students that they have each grown and matured in many ways. We encouraged all students to reflect upon their experiences in Perth and be a good influence to their peers in Singapore.

Mrs Wee, our Vice-Principal, presented a prize to Lim Yu Xi for being the ‘Best Female Camper’. She had persevered with all activities despite suffering an eye infection. Ng Chun Rong was nominated as the ‘Best Male Camper’ for being very respectful to all the guides throughout the trip and for being very engaged for every activity. Last but not least, Reagan Tang was nominated as the ‘Most Helpful and Enthusiastic Camper’. He was always looking out for his friends and his enthusiasm was infectious! We want to congratulate these students!
