We went straight to Macdonald's after arrival. There was limited choices but we were hungry.
We then proceeded to King's Park for an experience of the aboriginal life. The first session was storytelling conducted by an Aborigine. It was fun doing actions along with him as he told us a few "Dreamtime" stories.
We walked a distance to an Aboriginal band who taught us about their adventures touring various countries like China. We loved it when they taught us the "Emu" dance.
The third session was at a wide field. We were very surprised when we learnt that we could have a go at spears and boomerangs. The instructor was caring and demonstrated patiently to us how to use the spears and boomerangs properly.
Anybody successful at getting a returning boomerang? I still have my boomerang at home but no chance of throwing it - no wide open space in Singapore which is safe for me to try out.
ReplyDeleteGlad everyone is safe and having a good time.
U can go to West Coast Park next to e Repubic of Spore Yacht Club. Big open field n very few people. I tried it n it works! Don't expect it to return straight to u though! :-)
DeleteSome of the boys managed to get a return on the boomerang they threw! They were very excited and went on to buy one from the souvenir shop! ---Ms Er
